Don Etta was born 26 Aug 1925, in Chester, Sanpete, Utah, USA, to Jesse Simmons and Susan Patralena Christensen. She attended school in Chester and Moroni. She married Paul M. Rasmuuson 14 Jan 1945 in Ephriam, Sanpete, Utah, USA. They had one daughter Dixie (Mike) Sperry. They were later divorced. She married Niels Orson (Hans) Blackburn 30 Jun 1956. They were the parents of Toni Lou, Forris Doniel , and Sherie Lynn. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her family and home were her main intrests. She worked at the Moroni Turkey Plant for nine years and at the Manti Parachute Plant during World War II. She loved flowers and tropi cal fish. She is survived by her husband; children: Mrs. Mike (Dixie) Sperry, Toni Lou Lemus, Forris Doniel Blackburn, and Sherie Lynn Bedolla; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three brothers Robert Jesse Simmons, Rigby, Idaho, Charles Keit h Simmons, Orem, Utah, Francis Delon Simmons, Salt Lake City, Utah and three sisters, Ometta Swensen, Chester, Utah, Phylin Simpkins, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Sherrill Rigby, Mt Pleasant, Utah. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Boyd Simmon s and DeVerl Simmons. Burial will be in the Moroni Cemetery in Moroni, Utah.
